Looking for sounds!

Jedders has this great idea to include some sounds in our online missions. For now, these will be "global" only.

The sounds can be used when certain events happen during the mission: start of a new attack, new mission orders received, objective achieved, mission won/lost etc.
The clips have to be of short duration since all clients need to download them when joining our server.

Who can find some nice sound samples?

Hi Vander.

Great idea! That's could create a nice Pavlov effect and program the visitors to actually pursue some mission goals.

You can check freesound.org You'll have to create an account but there you can find every soundFx you need.

If you need help. I can merge and level, compress audio files for you.
Let me know if you need anything.

I you want to try it for yourself. I believe the old Cooledit (which is now Adobe Audition ) is still available somewhere as a free download.

I envision some whistles blowing and cheering for Start of attacks. maybe some tank sounds for vehicle attacks. Air raid siren, anthems! Monty Python of course! ships foghorn for naval stuff! I'm sure there are many more???as usual! I just think of the ideas!...it's up to you lot to make em work :)

The best option would be Justin Bieber for those players that raid airfields... If you get within 1km of an enemy airfield that is not a marked target on the map, it is your own fault ... This could work for altitude as well... you got 10 mins to climb to 1500m... or else...

And I bet you lot can think of a song that will only be heard in Vorli's Man-shed when he types "Don't run SE5"

















PS Ill try to be more constructive at a later stage :mrgreen:

Wouldent work on Vorlander as he actually likes Justin. Really nice idea this though.
