Fallout 4 currently 50% off at steam, so maybe waited long enough... OR should I play FO3 first for complete experience? Lots of options there.

What about DLC though? Anyone pick up any bits they liked and felt it was worthwhile for the extra $$$?
"Far Harbour" expansion has good reviews so will likely get that later on, but what about all the other gizmo making 'workshop' stuff?

Thanks for any insightful comments.

Thanks for reply Blackie, but have to admit, the opportunity to see haunts along my regular commute and potentially visit my office/cube in Fallout 3 is a little compelling.

And besides, I like to tweak mods, so may go with Game of the Year iteration of FO3, or just get both though they are not bundled yet.

Oh, found this "Tale of Two Wastelands" guide that ports FO3 into the 2012 Fallout New Vegas engine,
So that defo has to be an improvement and less headaches (though perhaps still not for the faint of heart...):

Mmm..well you don't need to play i story wise. Though you seem like a big fan and most people still think Fall out 3 is the best.

I would go for Fall Out 4 grahpic wise.. you can't go wrong though, either one is very entertaining and worthwhile.

My son found this.

Spoiler: If you've played either you will laugh...

Every now and then, I'll listen to one of his jokes.
I'm sure many of you played this and know them, but this one made me spit out my drink...

Pulled the trigger and got FO4 and season pass at 50% off this weekend.

Yes, I've been playing heavily modded FO3 and New Vegas within "Tales of Two Wastelands", which mashes FO3 content/story into New Vegas.
It's wonderful and looks great, but just too much community content to choose from; it's overwhelming in fact to pick the wheat from the chaff.

Finally made it to the "National Museum" in Capitol Wasteland, the equivalent of where I work in RL, and saw the ghoul underworld.
Not much has changed...

A good one..I curious what you think about it. Some hardcore fall out 3 players..think this one is a bit less. I had a lot of fun with it.
