I just updated the UP3 to RC4 using only the last updater. It works fine with WoP and all other UP3 servers.

P.S. Yes, ok, it IS still fuckin amazing!!

I flew on BoB server just to see how a BOB map CAN work. It was truly amazing. Nearly total cloud cover. Hundreds of AI. Massive battles. Everything high as i can get it. Totally locked at 60FPS (I have Vsync on). just WOW!

so if i want to get involved i basically buy 1946, nothing else? then patch it to the latest one. Is there much of an offline experience to the game at all or is it completely online?

@Royal, you'll never find a better value than this game. Dirt cheap, with more content, both official and community built, than any sim likely to be made EVER again. I think you you'll be surprised how good a ten year old game can look and play. Not to mention that it still is getting official support, a new patch is due out anytime now. How many games can say that?

My advice to you is GET IT!!! Get on comm's and we'll help you get it setup. Then never look back.

And to answer your question directly: 1) All you need to buy is Il2 1946, all the patches and mods are free. 2) The truth is, I played this game LITERALLY for years, single player before I ever got online with it.(And I didn't even download any of those community campaigns.) There is a lot of stuff in this game. If you have any passing interest in WW2 aircraft, get this game, GET THIS GAME,HAVE YOU GOTTEN THIS GAME YET?!!!?!!!!!

sounds like im putting my order in. I love ww2 aircraft, The main flight sim i played when i was younger was cfs3 when it came out but my computer just couldnt handle the best graphics needed... Even then i loved that game but was too young to understand real areial combat and the physics of flying. Looks like i'll get it. I probably wont get it till im back in the main land so i can get on rof with you guys again too. Im back on jan the 4th. I'll catch up on ts with you guys sometime :)
