Level Bombing can be very tricky for some in this game due to the numerous controls that need to be set up.
If anyone is interested in picking up level bombing experience and/or engine management in regards to the 111, Ju88 and blen I can fly with you on TS the next few days.

The reason I bring this up is because it took me a very long time to figure out the course autopilot/level autopilot systems, arming bombs, picking bomb bays, setting salvo/series etc.

Bombsight management can also be overwhelming to those that would like to high-altitude bomb but don't have the experience.

It's faster to learn on TS than trawling the net for CloD specific info, and watching hour long you tube uploads.

Does the autopilot work now on the JU-88?

Yes.

But there is a caveat.

If you want to have "Level Stabilizer" the autopilot setting is called 'mode 22'. There are two things to be aware of when selecting this:

You're course gyro should be matched with your heading before you select mode 22.

When its selected your aircraft will dip nose-down (sometimes considerably) in order to level out to its parameters where it is possible to hold the course.

Map the controls for 'course autopilot left/right' to shift the plane left or right while in the bombsight.

It is. It's "fun" if you're into level bombing and want to flip switches. BOS level bombing is a fantastic cross between Il2 vanilla and CloD.

I suppose if we were on a big sortie we all could 'drop with leader', and be perfectly historical in doing so, that is, if our flight isn't harassed into disorder on the run to target. The fighter boys will have to do their jobs...

I know I can/should investigate myself, but RL work obligations are a real buzz-kill at the moment, so is it wrong to assume we can multicrew bombers in CloD? You mentioned switching positions, but can many of us crew-up a Wellie for fun? They should soak up more damage than a Bregeut!

Caution, Rant Ahead.

I wanted this work, I really did.(then and now)
I was looking forward to some squad campaign flying over green.
I thought I had it working, but no.
I think I'm done with this "bag of wank, stapled to a dog shit" piece of software.
I see I have 66 hours into this thing and 95% of that time has been trying to make it work.
The other 5% is testing to see if it works.
And I've just wasted hours more trying to make these TF patches work.
What a frustrating butt fuck fest!
No other flight sim crashes my joystick drivers, no other flight sim keeps crashing TrackIR, no other flight sim can't remember the control maps. No other flight sim has an incomprehensible control scheme.
Fuck this thing!
FUCK THIS THING I SAY!!!!!

(sounds of scuffling and a straight jacket being tightened)

Move on, move on, people, nothing to see here.

Mugue, sat in a pub in Somerset, second pint of ale in my hand and I saw your post, people are now looking at me and the wife has told me to put that bloody phone away :)

Same experience as me :)
