Yes, that would be great. I haven't figured out yet how to use that though.

The symbols were visible the whole mission so the other side will not be able to tell when/what the other side is doing.

This mission is almost 100% authentic in that these were the actual airfields and units in May 1917. You can look it up.
I think I may have made the patrol zones too small and thus planes found each other too quickly? Anyway, it's better than flying for an hour and not seeing anyone! :)

It was an authentic mission so I locked skins. For tournaments we can unlock it, but we will see skins popping in and out which really kills immersion for me. Don't be cheap and get some scarfs and streamers! :)

I really enjoyed this mission. I have to say that El Marta performed excellent (and with patience) as my leader. My skills as a N17 driver are weak but I am learning. The mission itself was very emersive and interesting. Though most of my time put to trying to keep up ( even with my leader throttling back) but we finally found ourselves in a fruckus with 4 Albies and I'm afraid coming out on the short end of the stick there. I know my leader gave a much better account of himself than I.

The two thoughts that came to mind is (as mentioned above) a bit more time for take off, and perhaps the Recon bird and fighters being in the same channel. Our thoughts being even though our mission as fighters was to fly to hostile territory and do an offensive patrol, that we could have escorted the Recon plane to this area as we went along. However, even though we circled the field in anticipation of this, the Recon Bird got away from us.

Look forward to this and future missions. Thanks for letting us participate.

That's another thing that we didn't tell beforehand. I think all players that start at the same airfield should be allowed to share the same channel.

Totally realistic
At least half the WWI pilot's anecdotes I've read where escort was involved talk about the scouts not meeting the 2-seater(s).

@Vander - thx, I was merely curious

Will give it another test, bust as far as I can tell does not even require mods on. All players need the weather file though (end up in the sky folder as its own map when you save it in weather generator), but you could make that as a required download for players in these type of organised events.

Could maybe meet up and give it a go see what you think, I wanted this for BA II, but guess gents where right to hold back on it as getting all thoose players to download and setting up the right file would be a nightmare. Still with smaller event with organized squads partaking I would foresee no trouble with something like this.
