Must have missed something, did any of you hear about this?
Will look into it at lunch, but meanwhile got this in the mail from Newegg:

We have been informed about a class action lawsuit settlement with NVIDIA regarding the GTX 980 graphics card. Newegg is currently awaiting details about the settlement claims process (instructions, website). Once we have this important information, we will send you a follow-up email with the specifics on how you can submit your claim.

SEE HERE: http://blog.newegg.com/nvidia-gtx-970-class-action-lawsuit/
Class action lawsuits are funny proceedings–not funny, haha, but funny, odd. This is certainly the case with the class-action lawsuit brought against NVIDIA. The settlement announcement came out on July 29 and, hold the phone, the list includes a lot more products than GTX 970.

And why does nVidia want to give you money? http://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2016/07/nvidia-offers-30-to-gtx-970-customers-in-class-action-lawsuit-over-ram/
In early 2015, a group of customers found that the GTX 970—which was advertised to have 4GB of high-speed GDDR5 RAM—experienced performance issues when pushed to the limits of that memory allotment. It then came to light that the graphics card only had 3.5 GB of the high-speed RAM, with the remaining 0.5 GB running roughly 80 percent slower, as Ars Technica reported last year.

Damn good thing I got the 6 GB GPU then...

3.5, 4.0 I'm sure it was an honest mistake. They just thought it was customary to round up at the half, is all.

Yeah, only $30 but it does mean picking up yet another game -- guilt free!

I'm guessing only in U.S., sorry Euros...
