^I'm very happy about the fix to the banding. That always bugged me. I did a short test and it does look better. I wonder if it will make spotting things above easier? Time will tell...

I did a test after the latest update (the mystery second update to 2.002) and found a slight degredation in framerates in basic setting. For some odd reason I decided to see how bad it would be in Ultra and I swear to god my frame rates were consistently better!?! In basic I would have dips into the upper teens and highs in the mid 40's In ultra I had lows in the mid 30's and highs around 50. How? Why? What the hell?

Mike, I think it's because, If your gpu can handle it...somethings can be shifted from the cpu to the gpu where the processing is more efficient. (shadows for example)
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

that actually makes sense. My CPU use was higher in the Ultra setting than in the basic setting. Especially in the 3rd core.

I'm game.

EDIT: I'd also like to state that, I don't care which side we fly for. Axis might be fun for a change of pace. Though, it looks like there's already a lot of "Gerry's" registered... ...so there goes that idea.

I posted already, seen so many German fliers I selected VVS. If organization ask for someone to change sides for balance I will step up and say we will.
