Yak 1b

Did anyone else get the Yak 1b today? That thing seems like a beast! Easy to handle and the view is outstanding. It is purely a fighter though, no ground pounding armament at all. If I could shoot it would be even more deadly!

One word of warning, I got the same shock that others are talking about, all of my key bindings were gone. Luckily I had read that if you quit the game and come back in your key bindings will all be magically restored. It worked, so if you get this plane, don't panic if the same thing happens to you.

Yea, it's quite nice. I think it can carry a couple of sizes of bombs, 50's & 100kg's? Just no rockets, I thought. The view is outstanding though. Way sexier lookin.

It is a stand alone purchase. Like the planes in RoF.

They are soo foolish imo. Battle of Moscow almost 80$ ....extra planes 20$ per piece. They are pushing themselves more and more in a niche of old plane nuts. There is a small chance youngsters with a sim interest will drop in. I can remember when I discovered Rise of Flight for the first time....if the prices would be like these I probably already would have passed on it.

The planes would be worth it to me if they would have the same standard as the planes of DCS.

I had a quick fly of the new Yak tonight. I just chucked up a quick mission against a couple of novice 109s to try out the guns. So far I've been impressed. The visability is great with the bubble type canopy.

I could not got it, still no internet but by looking at the FM section of the official forum some are not happy is such a nice plane

Did a quick mission in it. It's a very nice plane indeed. Very responsive, seems quite stable when shooting, very good visibility and I could land it easily as well.
