I've started a new one... a departure from WW1....into WW2! Here is a sneak preview....... Can you guess whats going to be on the bottom 1/3rd?.....

Its draft names is Salvo!

Now to start the target. This is going to be the most challenging section Ive done so far as its more than just 'tracing' over as I need to interpolate and make stuff up a bit....

I have far too much time on my hands.... This is my latest ...ahem... piece... Its called Salvo!

Its actually two images that combined form a single picture. Apparently proper artists call this a Diptych. These is designed to be two separate 70 x 100 cm images, designed to hang vertically.

Salvo Bottom.jpg

My original intention was to make it a Triptych, that is 3 images. Each panel would be rotated and the bottom panel would have an exploding train. Im actually working on the train but its a big jump up in difficulty and Im, well, finding it difficult. I started with the above image as a test and actually liked the way it worked, without the target.... You have to wonder what he is shooting at!

Personally I like this one and am going to see about getting it printed. I need to get a special print version so the colours come out of the printer right first though.

Great stuff Flashy! It is a great perspective.

If the train works out to be too difficult, just pop to a long straight road with a German on a bicycle, pedaling like mad.

The train Im working on uses a BoS image, its just not coming out great at the moment. Still, I will get there.

I also do like it with just the plane and rockets though so might dom two versions

The train is coming on but its pretty complicated and i havent even got onto the wheels yet!

That Lichetnstein drawing was where it all began.... I was looking for a poster for the man cave and saw that. I then thought...'I could do that'
