A number of good tank video shorts is associated with this one.

There was a good war film from the German perspective (as far as I remember, saw it as a kid) called 'Cross of Iron' with James Coburn and (who else...) James Mason. Reading the precis below, it sounds rather formulaic. Maybe it was... :roll:
