Saw a BBC series based on the book by Evelyn Waugh, called Sword of Honour.
Some reviews complain there isn't enough "action", but it isn't that type of film. I highly recommend it.

The trailer below portrays the love angle a little too much, but my, that tart is lovely eye candy...

Inserting a love story does broaden the audience of a series/movie, but rarely improves it...

One of the classic Dutch movies concerning WW2 must be "Soldier of Orange", It is based on the book written by one of our war heroes, and one of only a few that were bestowed with the Military William Order, the highest order for bravery in the Netherlands. What makes it amazing is that although the story seems far fetched, it is actually fact based, and you can be a secret agent dropped behind enemy lines and RAF Mosquito pilot flying missions to Berlin as well.

Highly recommended and I you find a copy with English subs, be sure to watch it!!!

Read the books, inspired by the 1st season of HBO, which was terrific and followed the first book perfectly. The 2nd season deviated a little too much for my taste, crammed way too much in, left too much out...

Will have to wait for 3rd season... Euro dvds won't play over here right?

Same here, haven't seen 3rd season yet. Quite liked the show so far, of course there's so much going on in the books that they have to make choices. Re-reading the second book right now, had forgotten quite a few things since I read it first time (about eight years ago....)

Episode 2 season 1 of "Bad living", called "The harvest". If ever hits TV it will be with +18 rate for sure. Also not traduced as I will do (they left some words out) but its ok.
