I have a problem with bringing in Oleg with Luthier in a fund raiser.
Alas the cred is not there, especially with him seated at a fireplace worthy of any goat porn.

Wolfie I agree DCS is a great base to work with, if they fuck this up it will be the end for them for sure.
Anyways, never had or have nothing against DCS itself, just not my cup of tea, thats all.
Also some things I readed that I just dont like, but that a personal matter and will keep it that way ;).
As I said, I will learn to fly B-17 on DCS way anytime, but not any other fighter. Not time enought for everything out there...when do I go to the beach then ehhh??

+1 Wolf

+1 Jed

+1 Per <-It seems a bit tacky, don't it?

... but if it helps them along, whatever... ...I figure Luthier is just calling in all the chips he can find. What else can he do?

New update, some good opinions, the guy seems a good guy but...

Please when you try to sell me something or do a presentation, do not look at the paper everysingle sec you are on cam!!! (if you are going to be on cam 5 or 6 min tops) I never liked that, the times when I did presentations, yeah you look at the guide, but do not have the whole thing writed down in front of you, I can understand that for long speaches but for 10-15 mins of talk??. To me it is just poor communication skills. I will let other here that have more skills and experience on doing speeches if its normal to look at the paper all the time in such short one, to me its like you dont really know what you want to talk about and very artificial. And come on..why in hell you show yourself not been able to read the paper????

 Haash, reading now...

EDIT: I've read a bit more about it and it is very honest of them to get back to the fundraisers to explain the current situation. The fact that they are openly making suggestions and twisting around in the project however doesn't give much hope for those who backed this one. I won't back it, I'm not that interested in WW2 to get another sim and the whole presentation is way too shabby to give me the feeling that they will actually accomplish it.

Well I like his honesty a openenness about it, but shouldn't all those things have been thought out carefully before the KS campaign ?

I really think they should have just put the team to develop maps, planes and objects for a WWII setting in DCS world and sell them as modules instead of going with a totally new project....

I actually like the guys, I think he is just too kind hearted to be a business person and really is doing this to further his hobby/interests. Not an unworthy attitude at all me thinks. I think he got left to pick up the pieces with CLOD, unfairly, tried to please everyone and ended up not being able to.

I have been sat on the fence for a while with this, mainly because the free three aircraft didn't add up, so they give away three aircraft at DCS quality and you buy the P51 and 190, but I already have the P51 and the 190 will be out before this project so I will probably have already bought that one too, so basically I would just be donating 40 dollars, which is fine if that's what is being asked. Unless it hit stretch goals in which case I would be picking up bonus planes as well.

Now with 5 days to go and changes suggested, its starting to make sense, if they just give away one free aircraft and backers have the five flyable and beta access - if that doesn't change tomorrow that is. Should have done this at the start IMO, I paid 60 dollars for the A10C only, when it was just in Beta. I am probably going to go with a 40 dollar pledge before the end of the limit TBH and hope that the stretch goals will come along later as purchasable modules, I just hope the development plan is not as confused as the kickstarter plan.

Yeah he seems honest and I do not have nothing against him. But...now he is a business man not a worker of MG or simply a fan, as Blackrat said, maybe too kind hearted to be a business man?? Also, IMHO, the project was just rushed out. Cant say it was not prepare/thought as he allready said he was in talks with DCS since June.
