The BOS Toybox (vehicles & artillery)

Postby WWGeezer » Sun Mar 15, 2015 3:27 am

Thought mission builders might appreciate a resource to identify the vehicles and artillery in the game. The names in the mission builder don't identify country or weapon size (unless you recognize the historical name) so thought this guide might be helpful. Not perfect, but what I could gleen from Wikipedia.
I was careful with the plan views to keep the scale the same, so could be useful for target i.d. as well

Enjoy!

Looks very good! I am positive they will be put to good use.
Now let's hope the devs decide to incorporate them in the game documentation, or at least sticky your thread over at BoS forum.

The Germans drove Ford trucks?

Maybe made under license? I'm sure they weren't shipped there, at least after 1939...

Oh believe me, Ford was working both sides of this conflict

The Russian GAZ was a Ford collaboration with the Soviet Union

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GAZ

GAZ or Gorkovsky Avtomobilny Zavod (Russia, Nizhny Novgorod), translated as Gorky Automobile Plant (Russian: ГАЗ or Го́рьковский автомоби́льный заво́д), started in 1932 as NAZ, a cooperative enterprise between Ford and the Soviet Union, as a result of a Five year plan.
