Guess where most of priority of development will go into?

a. Promised expansions

b. Bringing Elite to 20 Million new potential customers.

David Braben is finally cashing in I think. I am not expecting new features coming in the same pace as we are used to untill now.

I guess if I buy-in, there will be 19,999,999 potential customers left to go...

Default Dev Update - 05.03.2015

Hi everyone,

It’s been a busy week for us so far! Monday saw the opening of the bug reporting forum. Any bugs for the game should be reported there and it’s already seeing some good use. Guidelines for how to post bugs and the current known issues list can be found in the forum here:

Tuesday brought the release of the first beta build for the Wings update. Thanks to everyone who has participated so far and provided feedback. It’s great to see people playing it and enjoying the new features. You can discuss the beta in our forums here:

For bug reports in the beta you can add them here:

We’ve Already received some good reports and comments on the build which we are currently working through. You expect further builds as we prepare for the public release next week – assuming all goes well!

Yesterday we announced that Elite: Dangerous will be coming to Xbox One – this is an exciting development for us bringing the game to a new audience. You can expect more details on this as we progress. You can join the discussion in David’s announcement thread here:

Of course Xbox One isn’t the first of the new platforms, that honour goes to the Mac version. Our current focus with development here is performance and visual quality and we’re still on track for the Mac beta test at the end of March.

The new platforms don’t stop development on the core PC game and the next major release for PC is something I’m very personally excited about. We’re calling ‘Power Play’ – and it isn’t the speculated PvP modes! It is however a major update that will be coming first to PC and we’ll reveal more in the coming weeks.
