Wow, I would love to join you cats. I still love Il-2 1946! I'll be at work, unfortunately.

Have fun!

Same here. Otherwise I'd totally be in. I haven't flown the IL2 in a couple years, I guess, and I suppose it will look a bit dated. But I think it already is what everyone is hoping BOS will become (with updated graphics and FMs.) Lots of theatres, scenarios, aircraft, missions, maps, campaigns, and loadouts  to choose from.

I was actually hoping someone would suggest this, but didn't want to do so myself, since I knew no one would be able to fly when I could. Great initiative Jed, Karma, et al. I hope it catches on and I can join you guys at some point. Unfortunately my schedule seems to be completely out of sync with everyone else in the sqn right now, and most of the rest of the sim community as well. Oh well, such is life in the western time zones (look at the time this post was made... this is when I'm available to fly.. currently 5 people in the world playing ROF online, 3 in BOS :| ) (Oh, and 15 people online in IL2/1946, scattered over several unappealing servers, pretty dead there too but still, interesting...)

How about we make the mission file available in a thread and then someone can host it the same day in a more favourable U.S. time zone. It's just a matter of one of you over there hosting it on your own machine.

That's something to talk about at least. Who might attend? Me, Mike, Speck, LC, the brothers Spugue, and...? Requiem? Doubt he'd be interested in going backwards sim-wise, in fact, I'd have to re-install from DVD myself.

Not going to happen this week for me, I'm having my bi-annual proctology evaluation at work this week  , and have to give my report...
Lest we forget...

Yeah, some daft clubmusic to that head bobbing...
It was hilarious and also some nice sorties done.
We didn't rule the server, but we managed to bag some huns!

How about making a poll to ask about everyone's opinion about the day ?
Maybe it could bring some more peoples on 1946

The ruleset for the DCG Campaign has not been set in stone yet and we will use the first missions of DCG #1 to find what works.

1/ We envisage a DiD Campaign with the 2nd life used as alternative allied position (ie if we are flying Fighters during the Campaign your 2nd life will be on bombers). Should you get killed/captured a 2nd time then its OPFOR for the rest of the campaign.

This being the case your will be in a different channel until you kill enough buddies to keep you company.

2/ A new mission will be generated each week and its result will influence next weeks mission.

3/ Be on comms at LEAST 15 mins before start time.
