I died about mid way through the battle fighting a rear-guard action in my Surprise (6th rate) vs. the enemy Santissima (1st rate, like 120 guns or something...), but he went down before I did (and got more damage than him as well...). You fought the largest Warship in the age of Sail, the Santissima Trinidad..... in HMS Speedy? Even its last Captain, Lord Cochrane (the Le Loup des Mers, or The Sea Wolf, as the french called him) wasn't that mad and he captured a Spanish frigate in that little Brig.

I definately want some of this action...

You'll not regret it Flashy! Be aware it's alpha/beta so action is limited to arena style battles, but it's already a ton of fun and it looks and feels gorgeous.
Have now begun reading the Patrick O'Brien novels to catch up on Naval slang!

No to Patrick Obrien, butI'd like too.

However I have quite a few books about the age of Sail etc. I will look at this closely and probably end up joining the alpha/beta..
